The leisurely one-hour stroll begins at 6:30 a.m. MDT and is for novice and experienced birders alike. Participants should meet at the Cottonwood Campground registration area. Each year, 40-50 species are observed during this popular outing and during the last 20 years over 80 different species have been sighted. Participants should bring binoculars, field guides, and keen eyes to help record the day’s sightings.
Following the walk, at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Theodore Roosevelt Nature and History Association will provide a chuckwagon breakfast for participants. We will be asking for Free Will donations to help defray the cost of breakfast.
