Ethnic origins are preserved at the Dickinson Museum Center. The Dickinson Museum Center features art, history exhibits, and events. Research is also available. Summer tours of eleven historical buildings are available at the Prairie Outpost Park. Housed inside the Prairie Machinery Building, the implements of farming are on display along with the stories of their contribution to the area. The dinosaur area of the Dickinson Museum Center houses thousands of rock, mineral and fossil specimens including a complete real Triceratops skeleton. The museum features an outstanding collection of mineral from around the world. In the museum model laboratory, visitors can view a complete Triceratops skull discovered just west of Dickinson. Fourteen full-scale dinosaurs along with a florescent display of unique minerals will be the highlight of any child's vacation.
