Roughrider Days Fair and Expo in Dickinson, North Dakota, is not your average PRCA rodeo. The two-week midsummer event also incorporates a carnival, motor sports, a parade, and a 5K walk. The Fair and Expo even features a demolition derby, 4 H activities, a family fun day, and concerts by some of the nation's biggest stars.

Located in southwest North Dakota, Dickinson is a hustling, bustling community serving as the major hub for 12 counties. You will enjoy attending events at the newly constructed state-of-the-art Stark County Fairgrounds. Located just south of Dickinson at 4024 Highway 22, this modern facility will be the celebration's home for years to come. From rodeos to the demolition derby and everything in between, Roughrider Days Fair & Expo has something for everyone, it's a rodeo and so MUCH MORE!

Dickinson Youth Rodeo- June 22nd
Also referred to as "Showdeo", this event features western fun for all ages!! Kids ages 0 - 13 participate in events such as stick horse racing, dummy roping, goat tail untying, flag race, sheep riding, barrels, poles, calf riding, steer riding, and breakaway roping.

4-H Exhibits and Livestock - June 24-27th
The Roughrider Days Fair and Expo celebration includes an array of 4-H shows and exhibits. Stop by to see the work and design that youth invest their talents in the different projects, from garden to woodwork to photography and much more.
The 4-H Horse Show youth will participate with their horses in events such as trail class, Western riding class, halter class, reining class and speed events. Livestock showing is another favorite of youth activities.

Roughrider Days Carnival - June 26th - 30th
Ride the thrills of the carnival. Kids of all ages will enjoy the games and cotton candy. Wristbands and individual tickets will be available for carnival rides.
Time: Opens at 4:00pm June 26-28, Opens at 1:00pm June 29-30

PRCA Rodeo - June 27-29th
Rodeo fans get ready for three PRCA Rodeo performances featuring some of the best cowboys and cowgirls in the Badlands Circuit, including National Finals Rodeo contenders and past world champions. Spectators witness the twist and spin of the best bucking stock around while cheering for their favorite contender. Watch the battle of the best compete on bronc to bull for top ranking.

Parade - June 29th
Bring your friends and entire family to witness one of North Dakota's largest parades. Enjoy the colorfully decorated floats representing our great American heritage, it's big, bold and beautiful! After the parade, spend your day at the waterpark, play a round of golf, or visit the Badlands Dinosaur Museum - there's so much to do!

Family Fun Day - June 29th
Hosted by the Best Friends Mentoring Program, the event spans over 20 years and is one of the longest-running family activities during Dickinson Roughrider Days. Starting immediately after the city parade, it includes 15 giant inflatable bouncers, slides, jousting, a volcano climbing wall, barrel train ride, music and a variety of food vendors.

Southwest Speedway - June 29th
Located just south of town, it's a night of speed and excitement watching the Wissota Street Stock Special cars as they rip the track up with drivers from across the region competing for the top prize. Bring the family out for an evening of competition, and sometimes a few crashes!

Headliner Concert - July 3rd
Party under the stars with your friends at the Roughrider Days Concert with headliner Sawyer Brown and special guests Emerson Drive at the Stark County Fairgrounds.
Time: Gates Open at 6:30pm, Emerson Drive performs at 7:30pm, Sawyer Brown performs at 9:00pm

Fireworks - July 4th
End the perfect summer celebration with a boom! Experience one of the most spectacular fireworks display for miles on July 4th. Watch as the skies explode with brilliant color!

Demolition Derby - July 6th
Maybe smashing action is what you are looking for and if so, join the other loyal fans and take in crashing destruction at the demolition derby. No matter what you're in the mood for we have something for everyone!
