REGIONAL ATTRACTIONS

Travel throughout Southwestern North Dakota to discover many unique attractions. Area towns, historical sites, and museums are all day trips that invite you back to see and do more.

Native American history, in addition to ranching, military, and early settler's lives are all recorded and on display in regional museums. Theodore Roosevelt ranched in the Badlands and set up two ranches while there.

The Enchanted Highway, with seven larger-than-life metal sculptures, will truly amaze you. Their sizes and designs were all created by one man's dream.

Assumption Abbey and St. Mary's Church in Richardton offer a view of early 1900 Barvarian Romanessque style. The towers soar about 125 feet to the top of the 8-foot iron crosses.

Enjoy the Medora Musical and travel the rugged North Dakota Badlands!

The area offers so much more! No matter what your interests are - recreation, historical, arts, or other attractions, you will find that Southwestern North Dakota will fill your vacation with memories.
