Dickinson State University will host the first “Outdoor Family Movie Night” of 2012 Tuesday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m. at the Badlands Activities Center. Doors open at 7 p.m. A second “Outdoor Family Movie Night” is scheduled for Thursday, July 19.
“The purpose of our summer ‘Outdoor Family Movie Nights’ is to provide good and meaningful entertainment for the entire family, while allowing them to spend quality time together,” said Ben Shroyer, BAC events and conference coordinator. “Last year, our outdoor family movie night brought in an attendance of around 300 viewers.”
The BAC will be showing “Zookeeper,” rated PG, on the Hawk Vision Video Board. Individuals are encouraged to bring blankets and sit on Fisher Field or to utilize bleacher seating to watch the film. Concessions will be open and available for purchase during the event. No outside food or drinks are permitted in the facility.
The event is open to the public. Tickets are $5 per person or $10 per family at the door. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult. DSU students, faculty and staff are free with a valid DSU ID.
