CVB INTRODUCES NEW MARKETING MATERIALS Posted on 3/9/2010
The Dickinson Convention & Visitors Bureau has introduced its new marketing materials for the 2010 season with an emphasis on technology media.
In January 2009, the CVB Board of Directors studied the current marketing materials that have been used for over six years and determined that a fresh look of the established branding was needed, along with creating an opportunity for awareness and visibility for Dickinson through the web site with social media outlets, driving new business strategies online.
The CVB worked throughout the year working on the projects of new stock photos, leisure and hunting ads, welcome banners, interoffice materials, and updated logo.
The annual Visitors Guide has also undergone a change, with a different format size and fourteen pages of city information showcasing the things to do and where to stay while in Dickinson and southwestern North Dakota.
Online information will be updated with the new web site and address, www.visitdickinson.com. The technology of rotating photos for visuals along with providing current information and social media contacts will reach an audience that currently is using Face book, Twitter and other socialmedia. Pat Pender, CVB Board President feels "These marketing tools, particularly the new web technology opportunities, will connect us even more with our visitors and industry partners. Adding the new photos will provide visitors a wonderful view of what there is to do and see while in Dickinson."
People stopping at the Bismarck airport will also see Dickinson marketed in the baggage claim area. Scrolling signage highlighting visual images of Dickinson along with driving and contact information inviting visitor to Dickinson is backlit on a 2' x 6' banner. Plans are also underway to additional murals at both Dickinson airport facilities using the new stock photography.
"We are in the process of also changing the Exit 61 billboard to reflect the new look of the advertising materials and are excited to present our changes to the visitors. It's been a work of labor with all the marketing projects and I want to commend the staff at the office, for working so diligently on all of the materials." said Terri Thiel, Executive Director.
