The Dickinson Museum Center invite the public to their 6th Annual Holiday Open House Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Joachim Museum, 188 Museum Dr. E., in Dickinson.
Live holiday music provided by Dickinson Strings, the DSU Chamber Singers and DSU Clarinet Quartet will fill the museum throughout the afternoon. There will also be a holiday craft project available for kids of all ages to make and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
The Joachim Museum’s exhibit, “Improving Our Photographic Memory,” will also be available for viewing. Part of a multi-year project to digitize and preserve the thousands of photographs and negatives in the Joachim Museum and Stark County Historical Society’s collections, this exhibit shows a sampling of the variety of images that have already been digitized. This is done through both a variety of canvas prints and digital slideshows. Historic photographic equipment is also included in the exhibit. Also on display is the exhibit, “Ralph R. Doubleday: Rodeo Photographer.”
