These Classes will run from 9:30-11:30 am and will run on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Classes are designed for school-aged kids or 4 yr. olds who can write. All material will be provided by the Dkn. Museum Ctr. If inclement weather classes will be held in Joachim Museum. Subjects will range from Art, Science, History, Life on the Farm, Garden Goodness and Crafts & Games.   Living History & Art Demonstrations
The Living History demos will be held on every Saturday and subjects will range from heritage gardening, sewing, quilting, knitting, making butter/ice cream and other products, making rope, spinning wool, weaving & other fiber arts. The Arts & Crafts demos will be on printmaking, pottery, wood working, leather working and metal work. Demos are free & open to the public Volunteers wishing to get involved in this project are urged to contact the Joachim Museum. These demos will also be utilizing the Prairie Outpost Park (weather permitting) and all demos will start @ 10:00am. This event will start @ 7:30 am MT~ sharp! Pre-registration fee for the 5K and 10K races is $15.00 and race day registration is $18.00.   Bar-B-Que from the Heart - ND State Championships
This ND State BBQ competition will have 3 divisions: Adult, Youth & Firemen. We invite barbequers on all levels to come out and participate. On Sept. 5th Judging begins @ 2:00pm on the BBQ contest for $4,000.00 in cash & prizes. Also ND Firefighters will Cook-off for the ND Firefighters Traveling Axe Trophy. Artisans, crafts, concessions and BBQ food vendors on site. This year will feature a sampling of Bar-B-Que or a Meal of Bar-B-Que with tickets for the meal or sampling sold at the door. Entertainment/Admission/Proceeds TBA. This year's event will also be held in conjuction with the 26th Annual ND Roughrider Studebaker Drivers Club Car Show and the 3rd Annual Orphan Car Show.
