Alive @ 5 is Summertime Fun
Post Date: Aug 09 2013
Have you been to Alive @ 5 in downtown Dickinson? If not, it definitely should be added to your summer 2013 bucket list!

Occurring every Thursday through August 29 at the corner of First Avenue West and First Street West from 5:00pm-8:30pm, the festivities are fun for the entire family.
Kids are seen dancing in the street to the evening’s entertainment, while Mom and Dad smile and snap photos of their super excited children boogying on down to the music and showing off their dancing skills. When the kids need a break, they can swing over to the face-painting table for some unique facial art. A variety of other children’s activities take place weekly and are so much fun to see what is new!
If you get hungry at Alive @ 5, don’t worry, there is so much great food there! Even if you aren’t hungry, just smelling the food being cooked nearby may cause you to wander over to check it out and you probably will end up loving it! Many beverages are also available for purchase for both adults and children. Also, be sure to stop by the street vendors for specialty items.
Every week, there are different musicians that are amazing at not only providing hoppin’ music, but also at getting the crowd on their feet dancing. Here is the upcoming lineup:

· August 15: Smokehouse

· August 22: Outlaw Sippin’

· August 29: Ashley Buchart Band

Alive@5 is hosted by the Odd Fellows Lodge and Sneak Pique Productions. Proceeds from the event go towards scholarships and other worthy causes.

If you have not experienced Alive@5 in downtown Dickinson, be sure to check it out this Thursday. You will love it!
